Where did you get isode-7.0 ??
There is a stripped down version of it on ATHENA-DIST.MIT.EDU
In the file README.KRB5_BETA3 on ATHENA-DIST.MIT.EDU it says:
isode.tar.Z is a subset of ISODE needed for Kerberos V5. If you have
ISODE 7.0 or later already, you won't need this file.
I assume that the patches have been applied to this version of ISODE.
I am trying to use this "subset" on my SunOS 4.1.2 system.
I am just starting the build of ISODE and Kerberos 5 Beta 3.

As I understand things, K5 uses ASN.1 to encode tickets and
ASN.1 is part of ISODE.

I say V5 is more difficult; but some mortals have done it.
