I have installed Kerberos V4 Patchlevel 9 on my master server,
and am basically up and running after using the "Installation"
and "Operation" papers.
I now want to distribute the software to a number of machines.
I've installed/mounted /usr/athena, the appropriate "r" series
stuff into /usr/ucb, /etc/services, and inetd.conf.
(this too seems to work)
But what else should I want/need to do ?
For example, does every machine need a /etc/krb.conf file ?
(didn't see a mention of this in either paper, but kind of
assumed it might be required, otherwise how would a "client
machine" know where to "go" to change his Kerberos passwd ??)
Can anyone point me to further documentation or provide me with
some tips to bring the system into large scale operation on a
number of machines.
Is there is a known place/list of Kerberized application which
are available ?
Wouldn't one want to Kerberize almost any application that
required "remote" passwd entry (ftp and telnet) so as not to
have to be entering clear text passwords over the wire ?
Thanx in advance for any help/tips/pointers....
