In the IS Web page hierarchy, there is now a Year 2000 Compliance link on
the Help page (see the Finding an Answer section).

NewsLink has an item about your project on the front page (where it will
stay for a few days) and under IS Highlights (where it will stay for at
least a few weeks).

After talking with Suzana, we've decided not to create a Spotlight on the
IS main page. The feeling is that:

* NewsLink handles IS-related "hot news" items.

* The IS page will not get nearly as many hits as the MIT home page, so
that a Spotlight is likely to be less effective there and could add
slightly to a feeling of clutter.

* The Spotlight could cause occasional "political" problems (Suzana's
experience with the Spotlight on the MIT home page) and would also increase
the maintenance factor for the pages.

We may revisit the idea of a Spotlight at some point in the future --
perhaps after we compile usage statistics for the IS pages -- but for now
we're going to stick with posts to NewsLink.

Please let us know if you have any comments about where we've put the Y2K
link in the IS Web page hierarchy.

Regards,
Robyn
