i have a few reservations, not about the change in general, but about the
timing. every incoming student will need to register for her athena
account and potentially get certificates sometime over the next week. not
knowing exactly what links to the current index.html file expecting to
find the guid, and how much printed documentation refers to the guide, i'd
be more comfortable waiting until the first week of classes to make this
change. as an example, the athena tutorial contains step-by-step
instructions including screen shots of what is supposed to happen when one
goes to web/is/help/cert/ so at least users working off the paper copy
will expect the guide to be there, not the table of contents.
what do others think?
