The emacs "hyperbole" system (/afs/sipb/contrib/emacs/elisp/hyperbole.el) has
hooks to reference WWW nodes (I assume nodes, I haven't tried www myself
yet.) Hyperbole is a system from Brown U. which provides "electric links"
from text in a document to other things (via elisp, filename, info pointer,
www pointer, etc.)
