I've long wanted to send email library notices.  Overdue and recall notices
would be possible now, but Geac doesn't make it easy and getting the data into
the patron record 9and keeping it there when we re-load the registrar tapes)
are things we'll probably never work out.

I do think email notices of impending due books and email notices of
overdues, recalls, and holds should be on our rfp when we replace the geac circ
system and will add this to my notes for that process.

Does anyone dislike this idea, assuming the patron could choose between email
and US/Institute mail?
