I write on behalf of the Advisory Committee for the
Library Director search. We are sponsoring a series of talks, open to the MIT
community, on the Role of the Research Library at the start of the 21st
Century.
On Monday, April 10, Malcolm Getz, Professor of Economics and former Director
of Libraries at Vanderbilt University, will be speaking on the topic
"Petabytes of Information" from 9-10AM in Room 2-105. There will be an
opportunity for discussion after his presentation.
