Made significant progress on BIB routines, but some work remains.
B. Take delivery of new version of Newton that supports SCAN.

Determined BRS/Search has been licensed thru 8/94, so there's no
big rush on the software.
Have not determined if MEDLINE fee has been paid for 93-94,
and if so, by whom.
We continue to get tapes from Maxwell, and to mount them.
Speedy move to FirstSearch for Medline hung up on issues around
getting FirstSearch up and running at OCLC and here, the latter
being the issue of so-called "password hiding".
B. Continue discussion on "password hiding" at next elibdev.
Continue to refine new support model for MEDLINE users on campus.

6. FirstSearch
*** develop a plan for using tfirst for access to MEDLINE via FirstSeach
A. No progress.
B. Same as last month.
C. None.
D. None.
Other comments:
Tom would like to have some forum where we could discuss technical
options in more detail, debate merits, etc., and make decisions. The
lack of a more formal structure for elib development projects was
identified. As a first step towards solving this, the October meeting
of this kind will be 2 hours to allow time for status reporting, goal
setting, as well as technical discussion.
Bill has been keeping a task list going on several of his projects. It
