Discussion group A: Full-text database demo
James O'Donnell will do a demonstration using CETEDOC
Library of Christian Latin Texts as well as a
competing product to illustrate some of the powers
and problems of full-text databases for humanists.
Discussion group B: Copyright and Licensing
Anita Lowry will lead a discussion of the complex issues
of copyright and licensing for electronic resources.
These issues provide serious challenges for librarians and information
resource providers.
Discussion group C: E-journal publishing -- the inside story
John Unsworth will describe the day-to-day process of editing and
publishing an electronic journal, how it differs from traditional
scholarly publishing and how it doesn'. He will also
comment on author fears, subscriber woes, and the impact
of the medium on the material.
