i just did something incredibly stupid:
i logged in on m66-080-7 at 12:54 and probably between 1 and 1:30 managed to do
the following:
within my directory Data
made the following directories:
tables and agni
i then proceeded to move files one by one into the directories,
i.e. mv filename tables
and mv filename agni
however, when moving the files to "tables", i moved them into the file "tables"
instead of the directory ~/tables/. (thus overwriting the file tables each time)
the files that i moved to agni were found and put in the new directory Agni
so they are ok.
i then rm'ed the ~ files for all of these files from the directory Data.
a friend of mine (solo26) suggested that you may be able to recover some of
these. the file names were:
from "Table" (the software):
givrec
givrecbyregion
combyrankbalance
indivrankbycomm
refsrank
and graphs:
netacadcorpbycomm.ps
netcomminnoppl.ps
netcommoutrank.ps
netrankcommdummy.ps
netregioncomm.ps
netregionrank.ps
I would appreciate anything you could do to try to save them and save me.
