Frank Miller, who uses this machine, told me today that the machine is
down. He noticed in the console window a cascading series of HD I/O errors; he
power cycled the machine and now it won't boot. I have not tried anything like
swapping disks, etc., because that is not for me to do anymore (whimper).

So, the machine's particulars:

	location:	9-522
	machine:	lynch
	ibm sn #:	26-000511
	dec tag #	381

Thank you so much for the impeccable service. May I have an after-dinner mint,
wafer-thin? Tenk yu veddy much.

	Rob
