Yup, you heard right.

The lefthand fancoil unit (looking at the windows) froze and burst.
The PP mechanic said there is a damper that is supposed to prevent
this sort of thing which was probably improperly adjusted, if at all.

The rugs are soaked in several areas and before I cut power to the
floor outlets, it appeared that three of the workstations were
non-functional.  The front outlet that serves the instructor
workstation is on the same circuit as the AC unit in the net/server
room (!) so I left it on.

The water did reach the network/server room and a large amount of it
made it's way into the lab just below (1-009).  I encountered a very
chagrined grad student in my travels.

When I left, two PP men were vacuuming up the mess and the water to
the fancoil had been cut off.

I'll look in on this mess sometime on Sunday.

ps.  From what the grad student told me, it's the second
     time in as many months that they've gotten water in
     their lab and their faculty member is likely to get
     involved... we may hear from them. -rmh
