Hi!
I made a major mistake today, and I would not ask this unless it
was very important. I was working on a spreadsheet in xess for my
fraternity (I am the out-going treasurer and was finishing up this past
years finances) and while I was trying to save the spreadsheet, for some
reason the program crashed. Anyways, I checked on the file (%ls -l
~/du/treas/ba/ba1291.xs):
-rwxrwxrwx 1 chester 0 Dec 15 21:33 /mit/chester/du/treas/ba/ba1291.xs
Then, I remembered that I was over quota (for over a week - I have
remedied that problem just now) and realized what had happened. The
file would not save and erased all my prior work (about 50 man hours had
been put into setting this spreadsheet up and it will take more than 25
manhours to put it back together). I desperately need the back-up of
this file and can think of no other way of recovering it. I also need
this as soon as possible. I needed to get the output of the file out by
the latest at 5pm tomorrow.
The file was last saved between 10pm and midnight last night (Dec. 14).
The file was deleted today (Dec. 15) at 9:33pm.
I believe timo has sent you e-mail as well concerning this. Once again,
I apprecite your help. Thank you.
