The disk 0 hda was replaced on Talos. To re-install the machine
we booted off the old root partition on disk 1, and re-installed
talos by hand using the executables from cyrus.
We still need to,
o restore (or copy from another machine) the needed
files to /site/ops, /site/usr/local
o restore the 6.013 locker. Check with the f_l's
to find out the status of this locker.
o verify quotas, crontab, etc...
In the future we need to,
o keep the spare root partitions up to date.
o do a full backup of /site and hold onto it
for emergencies.
Since there were an unusual number of bad blocks on disk 2,
Bill Meehan wants to the replace the disk 2 hda also. Provided
we keep the disk out of service he can do this without taking
the machine out of service.
