Hotline,
Hi my name is Scott Purnell-Saunders (scottee) and I am an RCC for New House
(w70). We have been having really bad problems with the printer "clearcut"
that resides in the cluster in New House Three. The problems have been
going on for a number of weeks and I can't seem to figure it out. The drop
that the printer is connected to is active, but I cannot ping the IP
address. No one in the dorm is able to print to the printer and I think
that it could be a hardware problem. I have power cycled the printer
numerous times, and nothing has helped.
I downed the printer today, and left a message saying that the printer is
disabled, so people wont waste time trying to print to it any longer. I am
passing this onto you for some more help and or insight.
