Hi Christine,
I took a quick look at our central logs and they said:
> Jul 18 12:37:45 GURU.MIT.EDU power: [ID 429363 kern.warning] WARNING: Power button is pressed, powering down the system!
So my guess is that either something on your desk bumped the power
button or there's a loose connection or something. My suggestion
would be not to worry about it unless it happens again.
