The past-PAD protocol translators are not meant as general-purpose
telephone-to-computer interfaces for the computer users of the world.
They were meant to server certain parts of the MIT community, and as
such have some limitations imposed. If you wish to telnet somewhere
else, login to a computer that gives you free telnet access, and
telnet out from there.
