Hey folks,
I have a Dell linux athena box that has a number of problems. There is no picture on the monitor. Lou came by about a month ago and replaced the video card. Don't know if that has anything to do with this though. The other problem is that no one seems to be able to log into the machine locally or remotely. Any help appreciatted.

A problem with the-good machine. May need to involve Hotline.

"i'm not sure. i think something (perhaps an automated update?) caused it
[something] to put a /etc/nologin file to prevent people from logging in.
but i noticed this for like 3 days, so something must have went haywire.
i guess i'm not surprised then that merely rebooting the machine isn't
going to fix much..."
