To whom it may concern:

I was wondering what the status of Case 188554 was. Specifically, how is
the duplex unit looking? On October 4th, I believe Mr. Morey told us that
it may be possible to get a "duplex unit for that printer without next
house having to pay for it". Is this still in the works? If not, then
would it be possible for us to get a duplex unit if we paid for it? (Of
course, I have absolutely no idea how much this would cost, and I am not
any sort of dorm official who has money to spend. =) ) Unfortunately, some
people are getting impatient and keep trying to print duplex to
Hosker. This apparently jams the printer, and since turning the printer
off and on doesn't solve the problem, we have to wait for an IS technician
to come and fix the printer for us. Is there a way that a) we can get a
duplex unit (if hotline can't, then can you direct me to how next house
could buy a duplex unit?), b) prevent people from printing duplex to
Hosker, or c) fix the printer after someone jams it by printing duplex to
Hosker?

On a separate note, is there a list of which printers are serviced by
hotline / IS? I am under the impression that IS / hotline will supply
paper and toner to Tree-eater, the printer in the Next House cluster. I
know in the past, when Tree-eater hasn't been working, emailing hotline has
gotten it fixed. I emailed hotline on Tuesday about the fact that
Tree-eater doesn't have any toner, but I haven't gotten a response and if
it's not their responsibility, then I will tell someone in my dorm that has
money to do something about it. =)

Thanks a lot for reading this far! I really appreciate any help or
redirection you can give!

	Eleanor =)
