This should be referred to Telecom. If the tap block is damaged,
I don't want it "fixed" by the client, I want it replaced. Solder
is bad news when not done properly. -Ron

Hello, one of the pins on one of the plugs on one of the LanView boxes
(egghead's) broke. We can fix it trivially by soldering it back, but
need permission to do so. If such permission is not granted, we need
a new plug for a LanView box (the thin pin on the plug inside broke
off when someone apparently knocked off the back of the machine and
then bumped the box. Once this is fixed I will duct tape the back on to
avoid further damage (no, this is not the machine that gave us so much
trouble before). Thanks.

I spoke to Connie about this. She told me to send this to net-help@athena,
because this Box is installed by Telecomm. I sent mail to net-help.
I also sent mail to Mat Hostetter of ZBT telling him NOT to duct tape
anything.
This note should stay in hotline until we hear from Telecomm.

I called Telecomm to get some info and they reported that they had sent
Mat Hostetter e-mail to arrange a time to go to ZBT to change the
connector on egghead. No one has answered!
I called Mat Hostetter, 739-2639, and also left voice-mail informing
him to call hotline so we can schedule a time for service on egghead.
