Sanda is jamming intermittently. The jams always occur from Tray
3. This points toward a problem with the Paper Input Unit. Several of
the 5si's in the clusters as well as 3 Institute office 5sis are awaiting
this part. I have been having quality problems with my parts supplier,
so I have advance exchanged 4 of these units from Hewlett-Packard.
The Athena printers that need the Paper Input Unit are:
Pindar, Bias, Pulp, Python and Sanda.
Pindar should be done today. I will move Sanda up to #2 on that
list, because it is the only printer in the cluster. Bias will be #3,
Pulp #4 and Python #5. HP says the parts are backordered, which means that
I should have them mid-week next week. I am also keeping a supply line
running to Shamrock, my current parts supplier, and will use whatever comes
first to fulfill the backlog.
