> Date: 2/17/98
> Day: Wednesday
> Time: 7 AM - 3 PM
> System: Emergency Power (emergency lighting, elevators, animal care
> area, HVAC equipment, exhaust gans, outlets in labs.
> Duration: 8 hours
> Reason: 
> To test emergency generator - which will be momentary during the
> 8-hour shutdown.
> 
> Effect: 
> The effect will be a momentary lsos of emergency power as the
> automatic transfer switch (ATS) transfers from Normal power to
> Emergency power at the beginning of the test.
> There will be another identical momentary shutdown at the end of the
> test as the ATS transfers back to Normal power.
> The effects to the Animal care Facility in the sub-basement will be
> more lengthly as HVAC equipment cycles through programs that keep it
> off longer.
> There are many labs throughout the building with emergency outlets
> that will have the momentary outages decribed above. (Loss of Power:
> Emergency Generator, emergency power, elevators, telephones and
