Chris had answered a call from Naomi regarding a possible problem with 2 Athena
workstations at the above location. Chris had the call and began to
troubleshoot the issue. Chris had then called me for consulting help on this
issue at approx. 2:00pm. At this point I had contacted Mike Sampson to consult
with regarding the Microwave connection. Mike had acted as a laison between
the network office, and myself. According to the zephyr noc, I believe that
some network related problems had popped up earlier in the day pertaining to
the BHF issue.

According to Ray (BHF), the microwave system had been worked on last week, and
again Monday (yesterday). At this point in time, I do not believe that it is a
hardware related issue regarding the workstations in question (1 Classic, 1
Sgi 4600). I stated to Ray that I would try and sort the info. out, and would
have somebody get back to him regarding the progress and or solution of this
issue. Ray,Fred, & Anne Lees can be contacted at X3-3012.

It also should be noted that the Sgi server (Tkl) is able to be contacted,
but more or less times out, waiting to receive the info from the server.
Please respond to hotline, if and when more concrete info becomes available.
                               Thanks Much,
                                          --Lou
