The AFS database server Agamemnon and the hesiod server Apollo
will be down early Monday morning starting at midnight for upgrades.
SCHEDULE:
Agamemnon and Apollo will be down for about 30 minutes sometime
between midnight and 8am on Monday.
REASON:
Agamemnon is being replaced with new hardware, and the swap
requires that Apollo be moved.
SERVICES:
Hesiod service from Apollo, AFS database service from Agamemnon.
IMPACT:
Apollo's outage should not effect users, as the other two Hesiod
servers should be able to handle all requests without noticeable impact
for the duration of the outage.
The outage of Agamemnon should also not cause user problems, as
all data on Agamemnon is replicated. Users may see 'lost contact with
volume location server' messages, however.
