This system was found with Physical address memory errors in slot 2. Once
moving the Dimm to slot 1, the same error happened. What appeared to be
happening, was not really happening. I will explain. My self & joe had did
extensive troubleshooting on this failure. Only having 1 CSA 02, we had to
interact with one from stock. The hard drive in the CSA 02 system started
surging on spin up etc... I believe that the hard drive was the culprit of
this particular/peculiar failure. One was led to believe that the memory
Dimms were bad, (according to the errors). Howver, I have concluded that the
failing hard drive had, somehow caused the indirect memory Dimm errors. Based
on this troubleshooting, the hard drive, from the stock room 02 is now in the
CSA 02, which is now currently up and running with no problems.
Have called SGI for the hard drive replacement.
