At about 5:44 AM today, there was a power disturbance on the New England
power grid orginating in Everett that resulted in a power dip in much of
eastern Massachusetts and the MIT campus.

The Physical Plant Repair & Maintenance teams are resetting HVAC
(heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems that we are aware
tripped off.

If you notice HVAC equipment that is not running, please call your R & M
zone to report the problem (A-zone 8-9423, B-zone 8-9425, C-zone 8-9428,
D-zone 3-5130 and E-zone 2-1497). If you do not know what zone your
building is in you can access the WWW address :

http://web.mit.edu/org/p/plant/www/rm/rm-map.html

to view a campus map that shows the zone coverage areas.
