m4-167-5 has a FUBAR mouse. When I first sat down to use the machine, the
mouse wasn't working. I checked for a loose cable and found, rather, that most
of the pins were bent. I straightened them out and reconnected the mouse, but
it still didn't work.

On another note, the keyboard mappings for at least these two machines seem to
be messed up. On "5", I had a problem with backspace not rubbing out (all I
ever got was a bunch of ^H's). On the other hand, delete did rub out. After
asking around, someone suggested trying:

xmodmap /something/AthenaType5Keymap

That "fixed" things for that machine. (BTW, "5" is the only machine in this
cluster where the backspace key in the extreme upper-right whereas all the
others have it just below the ~/` key; however, all of them are Type 5
keyboards).

I'm also having the same problem on "4". That is, backspace doesn't rub out
(well, it does, as it did before, on the command line and in emacs but not
anywhere else). Also the arrow keys don't work on "4".

PS When I flipped over the keyboard of this machine, "4", to look at the
bottom, it behaved as if I had hit Stop-A.
