Hello,
I am currently involved in a project
for course 10.491 that involves lengthy
molecular simulations.
Complying with Athena rules of use, I
left a note explaining the simulation
and asking not to log me out.
As I returned to my workstation, your thugs
in black Athena jackets were rebooting it. Now
I have lost a huge amount of time and effort.
I suggest you have your staff review the rules of
use.
http://web.mit.edu/olh/Rules/ states:
"If you are gone longer than twenty minutes or leave
a workstation without a note or a valid
countdown screensaver running, another user who needs
a workstation is entitled to log you out
or reboot the machine to make that machine available."
There are some key words in this statement. Let me
reiterate them in case you are as retarded as the Athena
police:
"Longer than twenty minutes"
"without a note"
"another user who needs a workstation"
These people are not users in need of a workstation!
I do not support their salaries with my tuition so
they can destroy my work.
Thank you for your attention,
Sam Browning
