The following requested shutdown of Bldg. 68 from 9/10- 11; 9/12-13 and
9/16 - 20/96 is for your information and review. Would you please let me know

System: Exhaust Fan 10: 9/10 - Smoke Detectors
Exhaust Fan 9 : 9/11 - Smoke Detectors
Date: 9/10 and 9/11
Day: Tuesday and Wednesday
Time: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM each day
Duration: 8 hours each day
Reason: Steel structural modifications to fans' support
members: penthouse welding
Effect: None - fans provide back-up to each other. No
impact to operation, one fan will remain operational.

Exhaust Fan 7: September 13 - smoke detectors
Date: 9/12 & 13
Day: Thursday and Friday
Time: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM each day
Duration: 8 hours each day
Reason: Steel structural modifications to fans' support members
to fan: penthouse welding
Effect: No impact to operation, one fan will remain
operational; fans provide back-up to each other.
Building: 68 - Building Systems Group, Lab/General Exhaust
Back-Up Fans
System: Exhaust Fan 1: September 16 - smoke detectors
Exhaust Fan 2: September 17 - smoke detectors
Exhaust Fan 3: September 18 - smoke detectors
Exhaust Fan 4: September 19 - smoke detectors
Exhaust Fan 5: September 19 - smoke detectors
Exhaust Fan 6: September 20 - smoke detectors
Date: 9/16 - 20
Day: Monday through Friday
Time: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM each day
Duration: 8 hours each day
Reason: Steel structural modifications to fans' support members
to fan: penthouse welding. One fan + 20% of next fan
will be worked one each day.
Effect: Exhaust Fans #1-6 will be down 6 hours each. Only one
of these fans will be down at a time. The building will
not see any disruption in service or climate as a result of
this shutdown.
