I am the system manager for the Earth, Atmospheric and
Planetary Sciences Department (EAPS) cluster in building
54 (Room 311).

We have what looks like a dead keyboard on the Sparc 5
Jupiter.mit.edu. I was alerted by a user that only the
Mouse seemed to be functioning on this machine; and the machine was
"locked" up with a message asking to "kill" or "cancel"
a program that was running. The mouse was moving the cursor,
but no action could be taking on the screen.

Stop-A did not bring the machine to a boot state, so I
cycled the power. The machine re-booted fine, but when
the login prompt window appears, nothing happens when
a user tries to type in their log-in name. Cursor still moves
when the mouse is moved.
