Prof. Lidsky called to report that his system cannot read or write to floppies.

JJ & I trouble shooted this.
There was a process called "vold" running that had to be killed. This is a
know problem, but is the solution for now.
Also the system was giving I/O errors. The S/W would also not come up all
the way. The hard drive has been swapped.
He is able to read & write and login now.
