As a result of the 2400V A-Transformer being out of service at
the Central Utilities Plant, we are forced to take steps to minimize
the risk of electrical interruptions.

Due to the weather forecast for the next few days of extremely
high temperatures and humidity, we will be required to decrease air
conditioning in non-critical areas on the 2400V system so as to reduce
electrical load. You may experience a reduction in your normal levels
of air conditioning, as well as fluctuations. The buildings that will
be involved are:

        1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 12A, 13, 13, 17, 20, 24, 26,
31, 33, 35, 41, 41A, 42, 43, 44, 45, 48, 51, 70, W4, W5, W7, W13, W15,
W16, W33, W51, W53 and 403 Memorial Drive.

The measures we are taking are due to the present electrical
configuration, and as described in Vicky Sirianni's message of yesterday.
Also, if there is any other equipment and electrical usage that could be
turned off or down now and throughout the weekend, such as lights,
window air conditioners, etc., we would greatly appreciate it.

We will be working over the weekend to provide backup power for
any unforeseen electrical interruptions.

We thank you all in advance for your cooperation and patience
through this difficult period, and we apologize for any inconvenience
this situation may cause.

                                        Mary Tobin, Supervisor
                                        Oprations Center
