Carlton asked me to check on reported problems with creep.mit.edu.
Here is what I found. The machine was powered off, so I turned it on
and startup appeared normal until just after the filesystems were
fsck'd and mounted. At that point, the screen image began to break up badly,
and something in the boot process caused a panic, followed by
an illegal instruction and a halt to the boot process.
The machine is located in a classroom, 1-307. For access to the machine,
see the secretary, Ray Hardin, Room 1-310, x3-5328.
