We are having a network problem on portions of the 18.78 subnet in
building 35. The easiest way to observe the problem is to ping from
eecs-ath-37 to eecs-ath-06. Most packets are dropped.

Both of these machines are on I/S supported UTP drops, so the problem
has nothing to do with the random thinlan in building 35.

I tried swapping the canary box that eecs-ath-37 uses, but that didn't
help.

Neither eecs-ath-06 nor eecs-ath-37 has any trouble talking to the
outside world, or vice-versa. Nor do they have any trouble talking to
certain other UTP drops in building 35. And the problem isn't just
with these two machines -- I just picked them as an example.

The problem is currently preventing us from using our printers and
sharing files. Please let me know what action you take to resolve it.

Thanks,

- Mitch
