To make a working color rt for the thesis students and others around here who
require color for their mapping work, I took the working ethernet board and
harddisk and controller from 'richardson' and put them into 'gis'. This is the
machine I am using this minute. (I am going to rename this one 'gis' after I
write this message). Richardson now has a non-working ethernet board and an
un-installed hard disk.
Unfortunately, the uninstalled disk (gis's) is an E70, and the working on is an
R40. I want to have the E70 back in GIS but I can't get it to install
correctly because my RT install floppies from july don't work right. I think
the disks are bad because when I had a working ethernet board and the e70 disk
and controller in richardson, the install failed with exactly the same '/: file
system full' problems.
So,
- the ethernet card in richardson is down.
- the install disks I own are no good.
