A user named Andrew called to report that this system had cable errors.
No carrier cable disconnected or hub link test disabled.
This system had an extra ethernet cable connected to the SUN ethernet
cable. I removed & connected directly from cpu to canary transceiver.
system now up and running. It appears the ethernet cable was bad.
