Subject: router upgrades continue - Building 24
On Sunday 12/25 (yes, Christmas day) we'll be doing an
upgrade of the building 24 FDDI router. This one is
being done in the dead of the holiday because it will
take a little longer than the others and it provides
service to a large number of networks on the campus.
It will be getting a faster processor, more memory,
and microcode updates to increase the available throughput
of it's ethernet interfaces.
Time will be 10 AM on Sunday 12/25 and the outage should
last no longer than 30 minutes.
