machine type: MicroVAX II
location: Building 66, Room 0008 (sub-basement)
This machine is having problems using the network. Brian and I,
then Ezra and Richard, have all looked at the machine and suspect
hardware problems that interfere with or prevent network connections.
Also, the machine has only 2 Mbytes of memory.
Since this machine is a print server for 4 printers AND has been
acting as a time master, it is important that this machine's memory
be expanded and its network problems be fixed as soon as possible.
Until the problems are fixed, these printers cannot be used:
homer cheme2 cheme3 cheme5
and, as far as I know, there is no time master on the 18.63 subnet.
(Having no time master may lead to further problems, which is why this
needs to be resolved right away.)
