garfield, an RT in E40-342, is down. For a the past few months it has been
crashing with machine check faults; tonight it has been unable to complete a
reboot without crashing.
Attempts to save a crash dump fail because of I/O bus errors. The problem
is most likely either the disk controller or I/O hardware (processor board
or backplane).
The system is currently powered down.
