Printing does not work to our local cluster printer (lewis-carroll) from
these two machines. Printing does work from other machines in the
cluster, and printing works from these two machines to other printers.
Details: These machines can not contact the print server. This has
been extensively investigated by our local cluster manager, Seth
Finklestein, sethf@athena, up to the point of completely wiping and
reinstalling the software on the local drives on one of the machines.
He says that what seems to be happening is that the internet address
of the print server is not being properly resolved to the ethernet
address (i.e. /etc/arp -a only gives "incomplete")

The ESG community is composed of approximately __ people. The Athena
cluster is an important asset to that community and is extensively
used. This lack of printing capability is a severe inconvienence to
those users logged in on esg05 and esg06, especially when the other 3
machines are busy (as is often the case).
Prompt assistance would be greatly appreciated. This bug has been
plaguing these machines for months (since we got our print
server). Thank you.
