Madman's rz55 (/dev/*rz1*) is back in /dev. The filesystems there are
fine, but I noticed that the disk partitioning is non-standard. It
looks like a hack that isn't necessarily supportable. Were you aware
of that? If you're not, we should probably discuss it briefly.
BTW, all I did on Madman to restore rz1 was:
/dev/MAKEDEV rz1
