Hi folks,
on wednesday of last week the network in 9-513 was working fine; on Sunday
(today) I find that the workstations haven't finished activating, and when I
restart them, they hang forever on contacting the time servers. This happens on
both workstations in the room.

the network cable is, I think, an AUI tapped into the big wire going around
the ceiling in the corridor (but I could be wrong about that I guess).

This room is on the list to get ethernetted with UTP in the phone jack
already in place, but that work has not happened yet. We were going to set up
our department file servers in there, but without the network we can't finish
setting up the hard disks, etc., so we really need something to be installed or
fixed very soon.

Thanks as ever for the fine work!
	   Rob
