is broken, I thought it was the optical lossage, but it turns out the wire is
broken, you can see the red light go on and off if you push and pull slightly
on the wire. it makes it impossible to use the mouse without constantly using
two fingers to hold the wire.
We should consider whether we would prefer to get a mechanical mouse like the rfp
machines will have, or replace the optical mouse, which may be the default.
