Reason:
We request a bldg 2-all normal bldg power shutdown, all 480V/208V/120V normal power from 12:01 AM to 12 noon on Saturday, August 10th, 2013 for Bennett Electric (John Shaw 617-293-4806) to install 6 new circuit breakers for 4 new power panels and re-feeding two other existing panels as part of the Chemistry renovation project by Bond Brothers (Jesse Conklin 617-938-4175). Marty Deluga 4-5081 and Joe Collins 3-3621 are the MIT project managers.
All of bldg 2 including active labs will be affected via loss of lab/computer power or loss of services (heating/cooling/supply-exhaust air etc). This schedule calls for those labs to be functional again at noon on Saturday 8/10.
Bldg 4 tel/data closet 4-269T and the 4-070 and 082 Music and Theatre Arts suites will also be without power during the 12 hour shutdown period.
480V panel DPH2G1 gets a 225A cb for a new panel
208V panel MDP-B we terminate the new Ceyer lab bldg 2 feeder
208V panel DPL2G1 gets five 225A cb's and we tie-into a spare 400A cb
X-ray lab 2-325 power will be refed from one of the new power panels
Effect:
Loss of normal building power for the duration of this shutdown.
