W2 - All, on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 6:00am through 4:00pm on Thursday, July 19, 2012, with the *live audible testing to take place on Friday, July 20, 2012, 6:00am - 4:00pm, is for your information. Reason:
We request bldg W2-all fire alarm shutdowns from 6 AM on Wednesday, July 18th to 4 PM on Thursday, July 19th, 2012 for JMBCo (Frank Britton 617-908-3325)Simplex (Rich Perron 781-603-7799) to change out the interiors of the W2 fire alarm cabinets and program (and tie the main waterflow directly onto the DGP - overnight); and from 6 AM to 4 PM on Friday, July 20th to conduct *live audible 1st party testing of the bldg W2 fire alarm system* to test the new hardware/software and all as part of the W2 fire alarm system upgrade project by JMBCo (Tom Rose 617-799-7171) and Shawmut Construction (Pat Coburn 617-594-1500). Sudy Nally 8-8010 and Biss Teelucksingh 2-5972 are the MIT project managers.
Effect:
Loss of fire alarms for the duration of the shutdown and *live audible testing on Friday.
