Pollux is now fully operational again; drive 3 is back in service and is
online.
- The lines in /etc/fstab have been uncommented
- /dev/ra3{d,e} have been fsck'd and re-mounted
- A full forced-salvage has been run, since I didn't trust the machine;
it crashed during the backup sequence, and I don't recall a full
salvage having been run on the other drives during the high volserver
activity when the machine went down.
- The filserver has been restarted with all the drives mounted.
Warnings were sent out prior to the attempts to fsck the drives, in case
the machine experienced problems, and again, prior to the salvaging
operation which would take all of pollux's file-service out of
commission.
Everything seems to be happy now.
DEC field circus replaced the bad ECM controller in the drive and tested
the drive.
(What is ECM?)
