John Morey recently sent some mail about the LN03 printer "Bob" located
in 1-142:

Well, I've looked in the LN03 Programmer's Supplement, and I've spoken
with Dave Towle about this. To make a long story short, what we should do
is:
	- call DEC and ask that the "persistent" (also called "nonvolatile")
parameters on Bob get reset to their initial, or factory, values

If anyone is interested in the details of this, please let me know.
Basically, whoever owned it last has evidently reset the printername and
the password on the printer. While these changes have no effect on printing,
the previous owner may have made other changes that might affect printing.
So, to make Bob a totally "standard" LN03, its Persistent Parameters in its
nonvolatile memory should be re-set to the standard values.
Please let me know if you need additional info. Thanks!
