Java Architecture for Infrastructure Services
Team Name: Java Architecture
Project Leader: Scott Thorne
Report Date: 1/9/2002
Submitted by: Chuck Shubert
Accomplishments:
In December we completed the initial version of the OKI Service APIs.
This work was casting the APIs into Java. Example programs have been
written for both testing and as examples of the Roles API.
Implementation of Service APIs and definition of the OKI APIs and
Objects continued.
Goals:
In January we will continue implementation of Service APIs. Our goal is
to complete this work in mid-February in time for the next OKI
Developers Meeting. Development of sample and test code will continue.
We expect to make Service APIs and MIT implementations of the Service
APIs available to a small number of developers at MIT and Stanford as
they are completed.
Issues:
Structuring OKI work in anticipation of additional development help
coming from our OKI partners continues to require attention.
Key learnings:
Development of the Service APIs and their implementations has led to
reworking some API details for completeness and consistency.
Team Dynamics:
The OKI team continues to mature as a working group and continues to
have fun.
