SAP Data Archiving - Round 2 Project

Accomplishments past period:
* Met with Wayne Turner and Kyriakos Zavoleas to determine the next
steps regarding FM data removal.
* Decided to include MM_ACCTIT archiving as part of the next quarterly
purge cycle to be performed by R3-Admin and scheduled for mid-January.
Goals for the coming period:
* Insure all are in alignment to purge MM_ACCTIT in Production.
* Test in SF3 the MIT customized version of FM data removal in SF3.
* Update the Project Web site.
SAP Production Subset Project

Accomplishments past period:
* Met with Wayne Turner to decide the next steps for the production
subset project
* Discussed the implementation of a partial production subset for the
upcoming refresh of the development system (SF2).
The only object considered for this subset is FI_DOCUMNT.
A purge of data <= FY99 would represent a 25% space gain.
Goals for the coming period:
* Take decision on SF2 subset
* Schedule SF2 subset for early February as part of the SF2 refresh
activities.
* Review purchasing documents retention period with FSS customizing team.
* Continue MM_EKKO archiving exercise
* Archive as many archiving objects as possible in SF3.
The following objects are considered for the subset but can only be
archived once MM_EKKO has been archived:
. CO_COSTCTR - Cost center - all data (incl. center master)
. PS_PROJECT - Project system: Operative structures
. FM_DOC_FI - FI individual funds management items
. CO_ORDER - Orders with transaction data
. SD_VBAK - Sales documents
. FM_DOC_OI - Commitments in funds management
. CO_ITEM - CO line items
* Develop formal timeline for the production subset project.
* Update Website and project documentation.
* Explore options and strategies for utilizing learnings from these
exercises with FSS.
