Accomplishments during December
- Received and equipped GIS Lab with the required computers, printer and
scanner.
- Produce and publish GIS/SDS Financial Responsibilities document.
- Produce and publish GIS/SDS Teams Structure document.
- Initiate work on whereis.mit.edu map to be rebuild using GIS tools.
- Class will be using GIS that Dan and Nathan Niemi (EAPS, Postdoctoral)
developed.
- Dan to assist with instruction during IAP of the Geology field camp in
January.
Goals for January.
- Open the newly created GIS/SDS Lab for testing and services.
- Investigate Oracle SDO and ESRI SDE components.
- Release master delivery project plan.
- Schedule all members meeting.
- Continue working on SLA with Athena OPS.
- Continue working on the backup strategy.
- Revise startup and shutdown scripts on the server.
- Rebuild the database.
- Continue working on project manuals.
Issues
- Authentication/Authorization issues with licensed data.
- Oracle SDO and ESRI SDE components.
